Hi everyone just thought I’d share my experience of STC with you. I began the prep treatment over a week ago which consisted of a concoction of IV and oral meds. The day before transplant I had Total Body Irradiation - on the 31st I received “the gift” of stem cells from an anonymous donor 🙏. Im sorry to say it’s not been an easy ride for my body - it seems to want to reject everything it’s given. But I’m being well cared for and it’s not over yet, so fingers crossed that I’ll start to recover soon.

By way of encouragement for you - I have a friend who had stem cell replacement- she had 3 differing cancers, breast, lymphoma & melanoma.
She went through many treatments of chemo, mastectomy etc etc - finally stem cell replacement- she was extremely ill.
At the time she was in her 40’s -
Fast forward 20+ years and she is and has been well - now a grandmother.
Hold on tight to your hope .
💐☀️🌼😘
I hope this is just a rough patch and that you will soon be feeling much better. I trust you gain the long term benefits that Santoshax's friend did.

Thanks for sharing and best of luck.
I'm now on day +85 of my transplant. I found it to be a horrible process and brutal on your body but I'm now beginning to feel more like the old me and my ability to concentrate is improving. I wrote recently about my transplant process.
Hang in there, the good times will return .
