Losing Weight

My partner, CLL in remission for 4 years this month after only 3 cycles of B & R, has lost 6 pounds in the last two weeks. He has not changed his eating habits and was at a healthy weight up until this happened. He eats very healthy, no sweets, and is 5' 8" and normally weighs 153 lbs, with a waistline of 31", and works out 5 days a week, stationary bike and weight lifting. He has no other symptoms that I have read also appear when it seems the cancer is active again, which are fatigue or night sweats. He also has no swollen lymph nodes or swollen spleen that we can tell.

Have any other members had only weight loss occur which was then diagnosed as the cancer returning?

He is due to see his doctor later this month for his cancer bloodwork and check up.

I have had periods of time where I have lost weight for no good reason - last Easter I had a two month period where I lost a kg a week for 9 weeks solid. It was decided that I had a fungal infection - aspergillosis- and had subsequent anti-fungal treatment for about 6 months - it was accompanied by a persistent but erratic & irregular cough.

Fungal lung infections are notoriously hard to shift, I had a little weight loss again two weeks back and that bastard cough is back - so off to the docs again.

I had the same symptom of losing weight for no external reason.I look at weight as my body resource. When i lose weight i eat like a bear after hybernation. Need to gain extra weight for tough times.
