Referral

I am on watch with cll but suspect the time for treatment is approaching. My physician is a hematologist who has been satisfactory. I would have preferred more specialization. My GP attempted to refer me to Princess Margaret but they turned down the referral stating my needs were being adequately met. Any ideas?

Generally our specialists shorten the time between appointments as treatment time approaches; how often are you seeing your local haematologist?

Hi Baffin, why do you suspect you are nearing treatment? You didn’t share any lab results. It would be good to get an opinion from CLL expert. There is no reason to be afraid of treatment as targeted therapies are pretty good these days. All the best.
