Further to my post earlier today, I was contacted by duty triage doctor at local CMDU about 0900h this morning. As I was now Day 6 from symptoms onset and symptoms not severe, she said no point in having treatment. She apologised for fact they were closed over weekend - all local clinicians should have been aware - and admitted system ‘ not ideal’. The Covid antivirals triage docs were doing this on top of their normal jobs. She said that in the autumn the system will probably change to transfer the function to primary carers (as I’d suggested in my earlier post 😇!). So watch out for developments in your area.

The result sounds more a case of good luck than good management Hulot but alls well that ends well. Not a robust system at the moment though.

Thanks for the update
As Newdawn says, more luck etc. (or as my erstwhile Aussie colleague would put it, more a___ than class).
