Nausea from acalabrutnib

Does acalabrutnib cause nausea? I also have 2 kidney stones(4-5mg) in the ureter.
Acalabrutinib can cause nausea, but so can so many other things. The acalabrutinib might or might not be contributing to your nausea.
You should report any side effect you think are related to acalabrutinib to your doctor. The only real way to know if is the acalabrutinib causing your nausea would be to pause acalabrutinib and see if the nausea goes away.
If your nausea is tolerable, I suspect your doctor would give you nausea controlling meds and see if it passes. Whether a side effect of acalabrutinib or not, the nausea might resolve on its own.
My guess would be the kidney stones as a more likely cause of your nausea, certainly either one is a possibility.
Whatever is causing it, I hope it resolves for you.
When I first started on Acalabrutinib my doctor gave me anti sickness tablets to take as well for the first month. I didn’t take them because I didn’t suffer from nausea but, yes, some people do.
I get occasional nausea without vomiting on Acalabrutinib (5 years on treatment). It can be helpful to make sure you eat at least a bite of something - a cracker or piece of cheese - when you take your meds 2x daily. I also drink a lot of water with the capsule to make sure it washes all the way down and has something to float on. Best to you.
I have been taking Acalaibrutinib now for the past eight months. For the first couple of months, I experienced mild nausea and headaches. Occasionally, up until recent times, I would experience a bout of mild nausea. Headaches and nausea are rare side effects for me now. At no time did I have any bouts of vomiting.
During the early months, I also experienced loose bowel motions from time to time.
For nausea, I took some Enos fruit salts in a glass of water. However never within two hours either side of having taken an Acalaibrutinib capsule as the Enos interferes with the
drug.
For headaches, my Trial Doctor recommended taking a caffein tablet which was highly effective at removing my headache.
However, please refer such matters to your own doctor prior to doing what I did!
I am delighted to report that my lymphocyte cell count dropped to 9 after seven months.
I need to get that down to at least 4 to be back in the normal range.
Anyway, I feel so good compared to eight months ago. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have qualified to enter this clinical trial. All good!
Cheers
