Shielding note.

Is their anyone who hasn't received a sheilding letter ?

My GP as assured me that I am on the patient shielding list and I will receive one I need one for work and it just seems a bit strange...

I wonder if you got a shielding letter back when we went into the first lock down? It seems then, that I got mine a lot earlier than a lot of other shielders. This time mine came via email, properly because I registered for help on the gov. website. I hope you get yours soon.

I haven’t received one yet but they are not actually ‘shielding letters’ this time. However, needed for employment purposes so I hope yours arrives soon.

I haven`t had anything.......letter or e-mail this time round but I am retired so maybe that`s why.

I received mine by email on Wednesday evening and I’m retired. Maybe it’s being sent out in alphabetical order? My friends along with myself who’ve also received theirs are all at the beginning of the alphabet? I hope everyone receives theirs soon.

I have not had my letter either. My school are fine as I am covered in my risk assessment as extremely high risk . Also currently my school is having cases of Covid with both pupils and staff. Both year 7 and 8 sent home

I did see there was a provision to have a shielding note but I have not looked into this further .

Did you receive the original letter? I got one from my doctor after I rang them but for some reason I was not picked up by the NHS. It took 4 months and many phone calls, from me and the doctor's surgery, to every NHS department before I was eventually recognised two days before shielding ended.

I received mine two days ago but it was an email as opposed to a letter.

Got my letter today.......it was dated 4th Nov. Anyone else got theirs yet?

No not yet my GP surgery said decided to not send them they looked at government site and they said should be covered from last one but my work place say they want one . Trying to get in touch with nurse with no luck yet but I am shielding . Take care

Hi I got my letter today. If you go on government website you can down load a template which is a letter which covers extremely vunlnerable there is also a link to send to you GP so you can be added onto the Shielding list. Also try cancer charities like Blood wise or Leukaemia Care as I have found them very helpful in the past when i did not have a shielding letter the first lockdown that my employer needed .

I still haven't received a letter. My employers are agreeable to furlough based on the letter that i got in the spring.
