Please excuse me if this is a very minor question, but I'd really like some input if you can give it.
I seem to have gone through alot of months now, where I have maybe one or two days with some very minor sniffles; in addition to, some minor aches and pains similar to a typical cold. I get weaker than usual, and lie down a few times a day instead of my usual once. It doesnt develop into a real cold, and goes away for anywhere between three days to a week. Then it keeps repeating. In between i have had a couple of real for sure colds. Sometimes it is accompanied by some gastric symptoms.
I wonder to myself if I'm getting paranoid thinking my immune system is going downhill. I'm in Watch & Wait so I'm not on medications that reduce your immune system. I was tested for Immunoglobin recently and of the three readings the MCHC was the only Low one at 30.7. MCH was low end normal at 27.8 and MCV was in the middle at 90.7.
Am I going nuts, or am I likely fighting something frequently?

I'm sorry for the wrong test numbers. I gave numbers for tests relating to Hemoglobin levels, and I guess the MCHC explains why I am so weak and tired all the time.
All of us with CLL have some degree of immunodeficiency, and the the IgG, IgA & IgM only tell part of the story. Treatment with Chemo may make it worse, but it is not the only cause of a wonky immune system.
Hi it sounds like your getting same as my partner he was always getting symptoms of cold every few weeks before he was diagnosed with CLL the doctors said he had probley had for number of years but never been diagnosed even though he had bloods done numerous time for other problems he as.
I am not as far along with CLL as you but I have sinus issues that wax and wane and I feel like I am going to get worse and then I don’t. I work vigorously at not catching colds but succomb now and then. The sinus draining lingers for months and is very discouraging. I have come to understand with my lower neutrophil count and large lymphoid tissue I am more susceptible than others and so it goes.
Been fighting sinus infections since November. Currently in treatment with Gazyva and ibrutinib. Multiple antibiotics and steroids, feel great when I'm on them, but a week later it's back to square one. It is really frustrating. Ivg levels are around 387. Just want to feel"normal" again.
When I walk into certain big box stores my nose starts running. It continues for about 10 minutes after I exit the building. This started last fall and I am beginning to think it is a mild allergy to cleaning solvents, heating system or plastics. I would call it sniffling. Is this what you are describing?
Thank you Lexie. I'm describing something like that, but my nose hasnt started running; instead, I just start sniffling without it going to the running phase. That happens numerous times throughout a day and then in the evening, and can go on for two days and then stop. Then maybe three or four days later it begins again. So I'm not being affected by an allergen like you are, instead I seem to be fighting and beating a common cold. The fact I beat it before it turns into a full blown cold is good, but it also shows my immune system is very weak.
