Mom has strong headache and swollen nodes all around her neck and under the chin.
Her CMV AB IGG test came reactive 33.7, we are seeing her doctor later this week. Do you know what this test means and if it might be the cause of the headache? We tried hot patch for the lymph nodes but it seems it caused more pain.
Still on W&W, checkup next Tuesday.
P.S. She has an aphthae in her mouth.

I think this means that your Mom either recently had CMV (Cytomegalovirus) or has it still. CMV is a fairly common viral infection with flu like symptoms - about 80% of 80 year olds have been exposed. In immune compromised it can really knock you - as I have personally experienced. It could well be the cause of your Mom's headache and much more. Make certain that your Mom discusses this with her specialist at her appointment (though I suspect it will be on the agenda already). If the CMV is still active, and antiviral may help reduce the symptoms and hopefully speed recovery. My specialist told me to anticipate being ill for up to 2 months and she was right. It took me much longer to fully recover. Healthy people get over CMV in a week or so - just like the flu.
Apthae/canker sores/mouth ulcers can be a problem in CLL, due to lowered immunity. They are painful and annoying, but topical treatment can bring relief. Get your Mom to talk to a pharmacist about treatment options.
