Hi Ava,
our CLL cells can vary a little in shape and size sometimes get classified as reactive. If you're feeling well then I wouldn't worry about this but keep an eye on it for your next blood test and just check it's not going up.
Hi,thanks for your reply
I had the same thing on my last test. My hemotologist/oncologist doesn't normally order it, or perhaps a pathologist reviewing the lab's results noticed it, and added it. He ordered manual blood counts because the last several automatic ones were reporting strangely high monocytes, which he suspects is due to other types of cells, such as neutrophils, being miscounted as monocytes.

In normal people, it's generally a sign of T-cell stimulation by an infection. I have a sinus infection, and some digestive issues at the moment. But it can also be a sign of autoimmune reaction and stress. So the ENT (Ear Nose Throat doctor) is working with me on the sinus infection at the moment with Bactrim, a sulfa antibiotic, and I have a visit with the gastroenterologist tomorrow.
I know I've been under stress before, and have never seen reactive lymphocytes reported in the 20 years of blood tests results I've managed to save. I've also showed elevated monocytes and neutrophils on that same test. I've been on watch and wait for over 7 years now.
As Jm954 mentioned, if you can relate it to a new or worsening symptom since your previous test, then you might want to follow up with more questions to your doctor.

Hi, thanks for your answer, I also have sinusitis, and I took antibiotics two weeks before the test, and during this time I had stress and insomnia, and I should be visited by my oncologist / hematologist on Saturday.
(So sorry, my english is poor)
Your English is fine, I understood everything you said. Thanks for your comments, we are all here for each other with CLL
