My mother was diagnosed with CLL before 10 months. Doctors have no given her any medication yet.. I wanted to communicate with people who went through a similar experience.

A mother with CLL
Hi Lily2016,
Welcome to our community (although we all appreciate you'd rather not be here. You have come to the right place to chat with others directly impacted by CLL. You will find us a mix of patients and carers with a wealth of first-hand experience and knowledge.
Please feel free to ask questions, comment and contribute. Note we are here sharing and supporting each other. We do not replace your mother's medical team and support and cannot offer medical advice as most of us are not rained medics. What we can share is our experience and our community friendship.
Best, rob
Hi,
Welcome to our site, though it's something you would rather not be contact, I know that.
I was diagnosed with SLL 14 months ago, and am on Watch and wait, with no treatment yet, I attend the Haematologist every 4 months now. It was a total shock to be told I had this cancer, as I had had no symptoms, and at first it took a long time for the news to sink in, and even now I sometimes still can't believe it.
This site is invaluable, everyone knows how each of us feels having all been there and as Rob has said we support each other. You and your Mother will have millions of questions, so please ask away, no question is a silly question.
Please keep us updated on how your Mum gets on.
Take Care

Watch and wait is the standard until symptoms or progression of the condition causes the need for treatment.
The fact that your Mother has had no medication yet is good news!
You will see numerous articles on this site many pinned to the bar on the right about being diagnosed and some of the things you should be asking your moms medical team.
As Rob said earlier please ask any questions you have no matter how silly you think they may be as we have all gone through this!
However, this is not a substitute for a good relationship with the medical team. You may find, however, that those with experience here can assist as expert patients from their own journey through this condition.
