Dr Jeff Sharman has just updated his blog to include his Patient Power interview by Dr Brian Koffman at the recent ASCO 2013 conference. In this 10 minute video, Dr Sharman covers promising new CLL treatment trials using non-chemotherapy drugs that tackle different B-lymphocyte cell survival pathways and how and when they are likely to be generally available.
Dr Sharman says that currently he doesn't have enough patients to join the many trials currently recruiting! Perhaps that gap could be closed by extending more trials outside of the USA!!
