CT Scan After Treatment

Hello, wonder if anyone knows anything about this. Started ibrutinib 3 months ago. Labs have responded nicely to treatment. Neck nodes have disappeared. Before treatment had swollen nodes in abdomen and chest per CT Scan, and I think my spleen was around 17cm. Wondering if at some point, routine follow up scans are done to see how internal nodes, and spleen have responded to treatment.

David, I was given scans with contrast (iodine injection) before and after 6 mos. of chemo. I would guess this is pretty standard.

David - I have SLL so the disease is not easily tracked in my blood. After 3 months on ibrutinib, my doctor ordered a CT scan w/contrast, and it showed that all of my lymph nodes were significantly reduced. He declared that I was in "clinical remission" & 6 years later, I continue to take my ibrutinib every day , it keeps working.

Wishing you the best ... Lynn
