Thanks for the response - she's doing incredibly well. They did say that due to lowered immune system this is one if the down sides but when the body's ready it will fight back. We've tried over the counter and freezing which does reduce them a little but they're not going, thanks again

Hi, my son had a big wart under his toenail for a long time. I used the over the counter treatment but it didn't help that much so in the end my GP referred him to the podiatrist for it to be frozen. (I think the treatments might be more effective if you're very organised - unlike me! - and remember to do them every day.)

Unfortunately it turned out that in my area they no longer freeze the wart, and were only going to apply the same thing as I could already buy so I didn't bother going back (There seemed no point taking hours off school to get to the appts the other side of the borough when I could do it myself at home!)

Different health authorities might offer other services though, so if they're causing her stress it's probably worth a trip to the GP to see what they can offer.

Seems to be a common thing. My son also had warts after his transplant. They seem to have come and gone normally of their own accord but do seem to flare up again from time to time. Have recently stayed for longer and he had something from GP which seems to be working. Has had creams etc before but think its just a trial and error to find which works best.

Hi, my son had verrucas. A Chiropodist friend got me to cover them with electricians tape (cut a small piece then cover with hyper-fix to keep in place) then once a week use an emery board to remove the top. Every 4 weeks she scraped them. It took about 3 months but they gone. Hope this helps. May work for warts but not sure.

Hello, I hope your daughter is improving. I have AIH and so a suppressed immune system. I have had warts and they are uncomfortable, painful an embarrassing. The best way to treat them is through a GP. I have had cryotherapy (freezing), acid mix and a combination of the two together. To get rid of them, you need to keep up regular treatment- I had to go every 2 weeks for over a year. It was time consuming and inconvenient but was the only thing that worked! All the best
