I have 5 stents. No complains so far.

Hi Sindy

Irregular heartbeats can be caused by disturbance in the electrical impulses that control the heartbeat, nothing to do with diminishing lumen of arteries caused by cholesterol so stents won't afect this. Lots of people suffer this especially as we age:( I have a very irregular heartbeat and take beta blockers (bisoprolol) to control this. Possibly won't stop it completely so need to find medication that will keep it under control.

my husband had 2 heart attacks, heart failure, arrhythmia 8 stents, icd pacemaker, stroke you name it, but with time and medication (changed when necessary), we finally got him sorted. Do whatever the consultants suggest, read what you can also, and ask lots of questions of the professionals, they don't mind. Best of luck

There can be problems with stents but they are very few and far between, you are better having had them put in so just enjoy your life, good luck, I am sure you will be fine.
