have taken 20mg Arovastatin for three days now. Feel fine, good actually, however this morning I have woken with mild stomach cramps which have remained all morning, most uncomfortable. Has anyone else experienced this? and does it reduce over time? I want to give these meds a good chance for me to use them before I try alternatives.
Hi, 4mg is a very low dosage, what are your cholesterol blood test numbers?

I am experiencing stomach cramps, mainly during the night or early morning. Bearable but uncomfortable.
I stopped these after 4 years as I started having muscle tears after very little strain, including my bicep which completely snapped. That said, they were doing the job and got my levels down and it was only in the latter few months I had problems. When do you take the tablet? I was advised that the best time to take them was before bed. I never had stomach issues. Now on rosuvastatin at a much lower dose and no issues so far
