It has been suggested that I start taking Bempedoic acid (Nustendi) tablets in addition to Ezetimbe - (which I have been taking for years) - as I have Familial Hypercholesterolaemia and am unable to tolerate Statins. I am just awaiting results of blood tests before I start the drug.
I have been made aware of possible side effects.
I am wondering if any of you have had any problems taking this medication.
I would be grateful of any comments you may have before I make a decision.
Thank you

I’ve been on Ezetimibe for years & am fine with taking it - no side effects. It’s the Bempedoic meds I’m questioning.
I’ve had an under active thyroid for about 30 years & I am aware there is a connection with high cholesterol. I’ve not been able to take statins due to muscle damage - hence the Ezetimbe. I’ve been seeing an Endocrinologist who suggested trying the new drug - but I always like to hear how other people have coped.
Thank so much for your reply & the link - very useful.
