Track you plaque

I have seen several protocols for reducing plaque in arteries. There is even a book called Track your Plaque. However these protocols are different. There are scores of Youtube videos on reducing plaque and yet charities etc all say the same thing: you cannot reduce plaque only slow down its growth.

Has anyone here:

1. Reduced the plaque in their arteries and if so how? and how did they measure it? over what time period?

2. Seen any studies (apart from Esselstyn) that clearly show a plaque reduction?

3. Know if there is a 'widely accepted' protocol for reducing (not slowing) plaque?

Thank you!

I am most certainly NOT banging a pro-statins drum but it does seem that statins reduce plaque... onlinejacc.org/content/accj...

I guess the only way to check is to do a CAC then check back a year later....

Thank you for the links. My three questions remain, though.

Track your plaque now cureality track growth by repeat calcium scan.i wouldn't rely on statins doing anything.I have been on them for 20+ years, cholesterol always in the lowest range and have a cac score in the 99.5 percentile for age.I am now on the no grains/low carb wagon as I have seen too many massive reductions in plaque rate of growth by others following it ,to not give it a go.

And for q3 . Absolute Reductions are rare. The latest "track your plaque" protocol is now called undoctored.
