really? I haven't found that DR's here are willing to give out much of any info , that is why I'm asking others who would know.

Current medical opinion seems to be 0.75mg to 0.80mg per day. There are other very expensive alternatives.

The two links below gives details of salicylate in food.

I used this to eliminate food because of allergy to food intake.

One can see which food has maximum amount in mg per 100g!

Curry dry powered has 218mg per 100g.

Whiskey zero!

It is very difficult to measure the amount of salicylate in served food!

Have a whiskey with rice and curry, a path towards healthy life.

thank you! I had found another one, but, not as good as this one (slhd.nsw.gov.au/rpa/allergy...). It's what I'm looking for. Thanks very much for your time and research on this!

Please note your line:

Please only those in the definite "know" answer this.

My research on salicylate started many many years ago! I am free of antihistamine medication, thanks to my research not my GPS!!!! , I am doing well without any medication.

Every medication, the dosage has side effect. Specially salicylate.

On a Saturday I have whisky, rice and curry meal. I can tell you, I enjoy it even though there are comments made at home!! "too much!!"after my meal my blood is very thin!!!, at 70, what more do I want?

I am fortunate that my daughter can afford to buy me blue label whisky. Once opened it does not last lone.! I do enjoy one life.

Please try to enjoy your one life.

well, the reason why I said in the know, is b/c I wanted the type of answer you gave me. My doctor does not know much about anything as far as what foods to take or not take if taking aspirin! All these doctors here in this country want to do is fill people with medications! I don't want medication. I believe that food either helps us or harms us. As you said EVERY medication has side effects. The reason is that it is not natural and does not belong inside us!

My doctor suggested that I take 81 mg of baby aspirin b/fc of my recent TIA. I did take it once every day for two weeks, but, now, I'm gradually weaning myself off and trying to find foods that will have as much or near as much as what aspirin has, which is salicylates. All aspirin is , is a blood thinner. 81 mg a day seems like an awful lot in my opinion. I don't think a person needs quite that much to keep their blood thin enough so that it doesn't clot.

You sure have to do this on your own, b/c no doctor is going to enlighten you in this country, unless they are retired and decided to write a book about it!

Anyway, thanks again for sharing that with me
