Lemon garlic apple cider vinegar and honey drink

Has anyone tried drinking this for heart health? I've heard good stuff about it

Lemon + honey drink, it has benefits.

Apple cider vinegar has its benefits.

Roasted garlic or garlic in cooking has its benefits.

Vinegar has its benefits.

Cinnamon ahs its benefits.

Coconut oil has its benefit

There are other stuff as well. Google has the answers.

Yes I do use all of the above in my life style change!

What benefits? For example, do they bring LDL levels down?

Yes and total cholesterol, plus declog arteries. I met a man today who sayd after drinking this concuction for a few weeks he no longer has chest pains or shortness of breath.

I just blend a few garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and lemon juice and a teaspoon of manuka honey and add water ...it prefer it diluted as its quite strong the amounts Ive mentioned are for 2 days worth not all at once :)

We human, each individuals have different mechanisms for our body to function! What works for me may not work for others!

From what we read people can take it and try or leave it, this is all I can say.

There is a big question on lowering cholesterol?

Hello - nothing will 'declog' your arteries other than having a stent put in. Athersclerosis isn't cholesterol stuck to the linings of your arteries - that's a myth (albeit one that is propagated by the NHS). Cholesterol doesn't and can't stick to your arteries.

What happens is that there is injury to the lining of your artery and the artery wall grows over it which narrows the artery. If you then get a blood clot at the area where the artery is narrowed this causes a heart attack.

So there are two things you need to do. 1)prevent your arteries developing these injuries if possible 2)stop your blood being prone to clotting - ie an anticoagulant. This is why you may be given warfarin if you have a heart problem.

Of the things you name Lemon and honey is nice if you have a cold. Apple cider vinegar is reputed to have various properties, but I'm not sure. However there is some legitimate research which shows garlic can slow the progression of atherosclerosis. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/255....

It also has some anticoagulant properties I believe. And it tastes nice, so I'd just use plenty in cooking.

there's a lot of controversy about what causes atherosclerosis in the first place, the conventional view is that it's high cholesterol which causes arterial damage. It's certainly true that statins (and garlic) can help prevent atherosclerosis. But the best things to do other than taking medication like statins is exercise, don't smoke and eat a well balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg, fish etc i.e. a mediterranean diet. Cooked tomatoes are supposed to be beneficial for your arteries as well, as well as (uncooked) olive oil, nuts and so on.

I agree and also, you might find he blood group diet interesting it's not a fad diet it really makes sense ... Read the book eat right 4 your type or check the website dadamo.com this was my first true experience with a healthy eating plan back in the late 90s and it does make sense

Atherosclerosis is the result of Plaque deposits at sites where Inflammation had caused injury. White cells come to fight the inflammation and that is where cholesterol comes into it. If there was no inflammation which is caused by free radicals. the only way to fight free radicals which not only comes from a poor life style and smoking but even over exercising. The body needs loads of anti-oxidants to stop or calm down the free radical damage. Loads of fresh salads and non-processed foods. Fat is not the cause of cholesterol ... our bodies manufacture about 85% of the blood cholesterol. This si what I have gleaned over the years. I have High Blood Pressure, I have had a brain stem stroke 15 years ago, 2 years ago I had a triple coronary bypass surgery, I have been on statins for 15 years as well as warfarin and they have NOT cleared my arteries. I had a Brain MRI and an MRI of my neck vessels (arteriogram) to make a comparioson with a report I gave the doctors of an MRI from 15 years ago. No significant change in that area. Doctors love to prescribe Statins but there is a downside with muscle weakening, particularly in the legs. I am nearly 74 and so I watch my diet carefully apart from the odd splurge. So for what it is worth, I have watched youtube videos which are very convincing regarding Cholesterol and statins. I have bought myself a Cholesterol Tester and also an INR tester to monitor my blood thickness to try and regulate my situation by natural means ... garlic and ginger are anti-coagulants while dark green vegetables contain Vit. K which causes clotting. So the idea is to balance one against the other. I will still have periodic Lab tests as a back-up but the day to day or week to week monitoring can be done with home testing.

Questions:

1. Blood flow is a closed system therefore how can you prevent problems within the system?

2. Again clotting, how do you stop this?

If you take the cooling system in the car or central heating system. We find out the problem when it is too late!

I know cider vinegar is heart healthy and I always have pieces of lemon in my tomato juice each day. In addition to this this, I also drink Polish Kefir ever day.

If you want good health, take a small amount of beetroot juice every morning, finest thing you can have.

beetroot juice contains nitrates which can help to lower your blood pressure, so yes this is also a good tip. You can always eat beetroot of course.

So I'm on apixaban treating pulmonary embolism and I have genetically high cholesterol treated with simvistatin so can I use apple vinegar and garlic or will this make my blood too thin ?
