Cereal Killers: 'Cereal Killers' the... - Cholesterol Support
Cereal Killers
Hi Mike, just watched the movie and when i think about it i do eat alot of carb. And i have a problem with weight and cholesterol. Time to rethink. Done sensibly of course
Just watched the movie but am not convinced that his diet is right for everyone ( it indicated it was right fir his particular DNA). Obviously this is a very fit healthy guy and he was able to satisfactorily expend the excess calories consumed by eating the very high fat products. Cutting out all refined carbs and sugar is also obviously going to help too.
I have suffered heart disease and for the last 12 months been following the plant based whole foods diet promoted by Esselstyn, Ornish and others. This also cuts out refined carbs and sugar too but also all animal products. My weight has gone down 10 kg and my BMI is stable at around 23 and my cholesterol has also stabilised at just over 3.
I will certainly not be re- introducing a high fat intake into my diet as I don't think my DNA and exercise regime would cope with a high fat intake.
I think he said he was 41 years old so it would be interesting to see how he turns out in another 20 years if he continues with high fat intake,
Hi Mike, I found this really fascinating as I started the HFLC diet after being diagnosed with hypertension, pre diabetes and borderline high cholesterol in March 2013. I was desperate to try and get my [stage 2] hypertension down so I could avoid medication and initially returned like a bad penny to weight watchers. Reading on this site re. the cholesterol con I decided to go down the HFLC route and abandoned weight watchers and their high carb low fat. Principally I gave up cereal and milk for breakfast and instead eat an egg every day and never feel hungry before lunch. I gave up all the low fat yogurts and 'healthy' margarine and started eating cheese and butter and became a total cynic on anything the NHS et al told us re their so called healthy eating plans. I took long walks and also gave up salt and most alcohol. I lost well over 3 stone and now have a BMI of <19. I haven't weighed this little since I was about 16, I'm now 72!
It is talked about the "cereal killer", but do you know about the same pronunciation but of different spell, "serial killer"?

Thank you for bring this into this discussion:
A Serial Killer May Have An Autistic Brain
Published May 29, 2014 | By Louis Trevor
Autism is a well known neurological disorder and is found on 1 out of 68 children according to the CDC data report of 2010. This neurological disorder comes with different symptoms. Some of these disorders are lack of verbal communication, repetitive or stereotyped behavior, social skill impairment and cognitive disabilities.
If we are going to analyze the symptoms which are mentioned above, then a lot more symptoms will come according to each. Autism is not a single disorder, and that’s why it is termed as ASDs (Autism Spectrum Disorders).
Now we are going to discuss about some of these autistic symptoms which can be life threatening not only for the autistic one but also for the normal innocent people of our society. That one symptom is ‘Repetitive Behavior’ / ‘Obsessive Behavior’. Can you ever imagine an autistic patient as a serial killer or mass murderer?
If we go through different studies, then there is no such data which proves that autistic people or people with ASDs are more committed to violent action or crime than general population. We know that autism is a neurological disorder. So imbalance of different neurochemicals and neurotransmitters may be a cause of violence, but there is no such evidence or study found in autism for a serial killing tendency.
I have experienced two of my relations in USA.
But the evidences which were found are,
Robert Napper, who is a serial killer and rapist, was taken into custody in 2008. It was reported that he is schizophrenic and he was also diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome.
Nicky Reilly is one who was caught and jailed when he was accidentally injured due to the setting off a bomb in the toilet of a public restaurant. Later, it was identified that he had been suffering from learning disabilities, obsessive disorder and Asperger’s Syndrome.
Cary Stayner is another one who is an OCD patient and is also diagnosed with psychotic disorder and schizophrenia. But the fact to say is that he was arrested for the murder of 4 women.
