I had a look at this score thanks to Bala and found a great app for looking at risk. I found this helpful as you can factor in the effects of different interventions.

NEW – JBS3 Heart Risk app

An app of the JBS3 Risk Calculator was released on Monday 2 June 2014. Available in both iTunes and Google play, the JBS3 Heart Risk app features all of the key parts of the JBS3 Risk Calculator. Using this app or the risk calculator with patients will help healthcare practitioners to better illustrate the risk of cardiovascular disease and the gains that can be made from interventions such as reducing blood pressure, or stopping smoking. Follow the below links to download today. The app will be free to download for a limited period!

iOS: itunes.apple.com/gb/app/jbs...

Android phone: play.google.com/store/apps/...

Android Tablet: play.google.com/store/apps/...

Two questions:

Do the assumptions behind JBS3 Risk Calculator hold if the subject has Familial Hypercholesterolaemia? From reading jbs3risk.com/pages/Who_calc... then I think not.

Where is the source code for the app? (Without this, it is not possible to check that the calculations are correct.)

I don't know what a source code is other than the links on the website.
