Dear Prof,

I am afraid the only person who can advice on any medication is your local doctor or a specialist. People on this site may be able to offer what medication that are taking and the dosage! We all are different and need different dosage to fit in with out body, therefore we all need different dosage. Please consult your GP.

Dear Prof,

In Swami Sai Baba's teaching, an example "Four people waiting in the waiting room in a GP practice, all with stomach pain, the question was will all the four people get the same medication and treatment?"

The answer was ,NO, four different dosage of medication and different treatment. Please take you local GP advice and medication. Some Sri Lankans go to Sri Lanka to get second opinion and advice on treatment!

I totally agree that you should discuss any medication with your GP or Consultant. You should also discuss diet and exercise with them too. You know, don't you, be honest, that you should be changing your lifestyle. If there is no other underlying problem with your ability to take gentle exercise, such as walking, start to do a little at a time on a daily basis. Say, twenty minutes a day, ten minutes out, ten minutes back. But first, you must get the go ahead from your Drs and advice from a dietician as to what you should be eating and how you should be helping your recovery.

Dear Prof

At first glance I would say that your (daily?) aspirin intake is too high. This, together with all treatment ,would depend if you had a cardiac arrest, or trauma. Also when you had the by-pass surgery, where it was done and how long it took.

First things first: see your GP and get their professional opinion on what kind of exercise, and how much of it is desirable for you. Usually 3 miles per day gentle walking is what is advised, certainly once you have built up your strength. Again, your GP has a complete picture of your needs and abilities, so consult them. They are the professionals.

Your aspirin dose is the same as mine. It is a low dose and is commonly prescribed to those with CVD. It is a quarter of the normal aspirin you buy over the counter. It acts as an anti-platelet to reduce the stickiness of your blood and prevent clots.
