This is one more post in a long line of those of an identical nature.
It's absolutely tragic.
I suggest you try the following links and start a line of research that will take to where your health will improve.
Then theres Malcolm Kendrick, Gary Taubes, Jimmy Moore etc. All these will lead you to wider opinion on the cause and treatment of a disease that that doesn't involve powerful drugs that all too often will make life a misery with little advantage.

articles.mercola.com/sites/... this what i do to keep my levels down instead of being poisoned from statins as i have had terrible side effects from rosuvastatin ,simvastatin and pravastatin
I think 80mg of statin is standard procedure after any coronary event. It is however a whacking big dose and people vary so much in their toleration levels. Is there room for any negotiation to lower the dose?
Secondary prevention (that is after you have had a coronary event) is a very different kettle of fish from primary prevention and I do think you should seek medical advice. Good luck and keep in touch.
I started off on 80mg atorvastatin following heart op (2 stents). Made me ill, pains etc (kills your sex drive dead). After a lot of talk with doc I finally got it down to 10mg a day (cholesterol now 4.1). The dif between 10 and 20mg is virtually zero. Also, I don't have a bad diet, don't drink but I have an under-active thyroid, second most common cause of high cholesterol.

have you tried coming off statins and trying to naturally bring your levels down also below 4 is too low i have heard then you can be lacking magnesium
i have found intermittent fasting to help get your insulin working properly as when your cholesterol is high your insulin uses the sugar rather than the fat ,so if you have a large break from eating it gets your insulin to use fat up that you have around your body rather than the sugar you have built up by eating

thank you
