O.K. There are different types of cholesterol lowering drugs, both prescribed and 'herbal' to be bought over the counter or mail order. Most of them work for most people, but some may cause severe reactions or side effects. As asked above you need to know why you are to be treated treated!!! Have you a diagnosis or are you taking your own preventative initiatives?? Don't experiment on your own and do get tested properly ( Home test kits are not very accurate and can give misleading readings)if at all worried

Herbals do not work for me. I have tried. Neither only diet. I had clogging and serious narrowing in the coronary arteries, so I had triple bypass operation. I also have 5 stents and have not stopped taking anticoagulants like Plavix and Duoplavin. Against the cholesterol, Crestor was prescribed by doctors.
