Hi everyone,

In line with the results from our Poll and the request for more Carers' information from sources outside of HealthUnlocked, I'd like to commend the Carers Trust to you.

According to its home page it is a major charity for, with and about carers. It works to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Its vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.

I feel that the best hope for things to improve in Caring is for people to band together within charitable organisations to increase the voice for change which is so desperately needed.

As a part of its website it includes the stories of quite a lot of current carers which may well be of interest to you, as from looking through these, the usual challenges seem to present themselves, every time.

Here's the link to the site, which is, as it is charitable, free to use.

Hi Callendersgal, thank you very much for this useful link. I agree that banding together with others should help to give carers more recognition and adds more weight to demands for more support from government. We can but hope! xxx
