Is there anyone out there, even the most positive and busy of us, who hasn't had a feeling, from a few fleeing moments to some hours, of being completely down about our current situation? I know I have and I've generally been pretty good about taking just one day at a time, and even doing it hour by hour sometimes. It tends to happen with me if I have a sense that I'm filling time to stop feeling blue, and it can be better for me if I just rest and give in to it for a little while. I guess everyone has to find their own strategy with this. The main thing's not to let it become a permanent habit.
With that in mind, here's a word of encouragement from Eleanor Roosevelt.
'With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts'.
Quite often if we can 'sleep on it' we can waken with a new and better mood.

Good morning Callendersgal, thank you for that inspiring quote today. Very appropriate.
I too feel a bit down at times especially when the daily death figures are released or someone us on the news mourning the loss of a loved one. It’s so overwhelming but I leave the room, take some deep breaths and calm down. Tomorrow is another day.
Hi sassy59, I think that's a really good strategy you have there for coping. I must admit I'm having to shut myself off from a lot of news reporting now. I know it's happening, and I'm so sorry for everyone it has touched, but even though we need to know some of the details, I just can't absorb any more bad news. But I actually think most of us are doing a really great job in just getting on with things, because we have to. It's only fair to give in to our feelings every now and again. It's so tough on all of us.
But I hope today's a good day for you and that you are having a pleasant Sunday! As always, take care and stay safe. 🌿🌺🌿
I hope your Sunday was lovely too. I've had a long period of doing absolutely nothing today apart from cooking a leisurely meal this evening. I agree about the transience of our emotions and indeed all things. Years of meditation have finally paid off... 😃
Challenging times for us all. I love your photo. It reminds us of the beauty of the natural world. I think a lot of people are finding solace in nature. Thank you Callendersgal for your inspirational quotes.
