I felt like something a bit more frivolous today so here's a poem from Rose Milligan to remind us all that housework will always wait. We might not be able to enjoy life to the fullest right now, but even at home it's good to do something creative, or even just relax. If you enjoy housework, that's wonderful, and I wish I did, but somehow I'm always looking for permission not to do it. And here's my permission.
"Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture, or write a letter,
Bake a cake, or plant a seed;
Ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim, and mountains to climb;
Music to hear, and books to read;
Friends to cherish, and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out there
With the sun in your eyes, and the wind in your hair;
I’m with you and Rose. The dusting will keep although I do try to keep it down. I’m happier reading, watching the birds, looking out at a beautiful sky as happened last night. Anything but housework.
I’ve been busy getting Pete’s nebuliser packed up to be collected by Hermes. It needs a service as not much pressure there. Pari will look at it free of charge. Also amended Asda order ready for Fridays delivery. Phew! Need a rest now.
Hi sassy59, I didn't take my own advice today. I noticed how much dirt and dust had accumulated around my kitchen light fitting so have been teetering around on a stepladder to give it a good old scrub! But otherwise I've been my usual slothful self!
Oh it's great having free servicing for Pete's nebulizer. Will it be away for long?
I've taken a rest today and posted on the forums early, then scarpered for the day. Now back up and raring to go! I hope you enjoyed your day! 😀🙏🌺 xxx
