Many folks are away on holiday at the moment, and if you can’t get away currently, maybe look for days out locally, or services that may help give you respite care or who may offer activity days or trips out for your loved ones. There are many local charities who offer these kinds of services and you can find their details by a web search or your local council websites, or libraries. Here are a few websites to get you going:

Hi MAS_Nurse, thanks for that. It's a timely reminder that we all need a break of some kind and that if a holiday isn't possible, there might be something close by that you and even the one you care for, can get to and enjoy.
My sister is now finding her world shrinking by the day as her husband's dementia symptoms worsen and she's finding it more challenging leaving him. I just wish I was closer by because I have time and I could easily take care of him while she takes a break. She's managing to take short trips out, to her zumba class and her walks by the river every week with a group of friends. Sometimes we just have to look for and be content with very small things, and that's not always easy when everyone else seems to be jetting off for a real holiday.
But the truth is, you don't have to look far to find another person in a crisis that's preventing them from having a contented life. And to all of those people today, I'd just like to say a 'hang in there' and that there are people who are thinking of you and wishing it could be different for you.
I hope that all those who can, will have a happy weekend, and if you can't I wish you courage to keep going with the wonderful work you are all doing. All of you are unsung heroes!
Hi MAS_Nurse, thank you for the information. We’ve just got home an hour ago from a 4 night break in Somerset. We stayed at a Warner Hotel in Cricket St. Thomas. It was lovely and good to be waited on. I didn’t have to cook....yay!
Wishing yourself and everyone a peaceful weekend and a break whenever you can get one. Xxxx
Hi sassy59, Glad you had such a lovely time. Really interested in your experience of Warner Hotels as I've often seen them advertised and I wondered if they are as good as they look.
