I think I may have mild tinnitus and it started last March where I can link it to a Covid jab or a knock on the side of my head from football. If I move my jaw the sound increases which reading could be TMJ. The sound I hear is like a radio tuning in and at times I forget about it when busy or out socially. It is when I lie down at night it is worse and feels like the sound is not from my ears but my neck which is odd.
Any help or advice would be great thank you.

Hello deanov and welcome.Your T sounds like mine. If yours is mild and not really bothersome it’s quite likely to fade into the background as you habituate, and you’ll only notice it if you think about it.
On the British Tinnitus Association website is a lot of good information about T. You’ll specifically find guidance on Covid jabs, and on TMJ.
If you need help finding this information - it’s a big site - then get back to us on this forum and we will guide you.

Hi, Have you had an opportunity to get a diagnosis as this is really important. It may not necessarily be TMJ as a lot of folks with the condition can change the pitch of their T by physical movement (this is something called somatic modulation of tinnitus). I have posted before about ensuring your GP follow the NICE guidelines which all clinicians should be following nice.org.uk/guidance/NG155. If you get the correct referral then you will be able to get a diagnosis which in my opionion is the base of moving forward in putting in place a solid plan to manage your T and live well with it.
