IT WILL GET BETTER

I've have been listening to Julian Cowan Hill on U Tube for last couple of months and really recommend you to watch his helping strategies.

Your nervous system will strengthen, please get his book called Tinnitus from Tyrant to Friend it's available from Amazon.

No one feels at home with Tinnitus, you truely need to be your own best friend , because we all beat ourselves up about Tinnitus, with the whys and what's, but be as good as you can on eating healthy food, I've found eating pumpkin seeds, bananas, almonds, oily fish like tinned salmon or sardines, chicken, pork, cantaloupe, pineapples , green tea, all help, no alcohol, no caffeine.

Download if you can and play yourself as often as you like Joey Remenyls Body Scan, a simple step by step of calming the mind down and helping you cope with your T, but above all be gentle with yourself and your anxiety will lessen and improve, remember there there have been many who have started by taking baby steps, and completing self healing, including Julian Cowan Hill.👍

Great post Level42. Wow. You do eat a very healthy diet! I've watched JCH videos - very helpful - and I've read the book - very good - but I do have one issue with the book. In it he says that not everyone with T. wants to get better. I 'm surprised. Who wouldn't want to get better?!

Must admit that I found that difficult to understand but he must have come across these strange people 😏. I think he is brilliant though

Hi doglover1973 - never spoken to him in person but he seems a great guy. Really glad he has been able to help you. I'm really good at the moment thank you. Really making the effort to look after myself ie follow Julian's advice! It's really helping. Tinnitus still in the background but not as annoying as it has been, so fingers crossed. Take care xx

REMEMBER he also said, Spikes ALWAYS come back DOWN, hence that what spikes do.I tried the slowing down your body movements during spikes as he suggested, and have to admit as strange as it sounded, it really helped me.

Give it a try

Thanks Level. I'd forgotten - but now you mention it - it comes to mind. I'm going to try feet in hot water / cold water later.

Thank you these are the posts we need I will buy the book & I have have T for a short while now & seen 2 ENT specialist who apart from reassuring me my inner ear is healthy are a waste of time as they don’t understand it themselves . So I agree you have to accept the noise & in time your brain will too & healthy eating & relaxation is the key . I have lost almost a stone with anxiety as the first 3 weeks were so traumatic but now I have to reclaim my life .

Thanks, Level. I read the book some time ago and your post has encouraged me to read it again. I do have some issues with the author’s immediate diagnosis - I’m not on red alert all the time and the personality he describes isn’t me. But then by my age of 75 I’ve been through a lot and come out the other side happy and content. And I still get T. But he’s right in that it doesn’t bother me!
