Tinnitus and Sulfasalazine

Hello all. I'm new in this group and would like to know if anyone has experienced an increase in their tinnitus after taking Sulfasalazine, and also does it subside again after stopping this medication? I have had mild tinnitus for a few years after being a lifelong drummer in rock bands but was given Sulfasalazine to help inflammatory arthritis in my hand. It was after reaching the the optimum dose level that I noticed how much more profound my tinnitus was and on reading the list of possible side effects I learned that tinnitus was indeed a risk. I have stopped the sulfasalazine and will be starting methotrexate next week, but so far there has been no decrease in the tinnitus. Any advice would be very helpful, thank you.
