Hi

Yes I tried it as prescribed by my ent, but it gave me palpitations and sent my heart racing, so not for me. I would say give it a go though.

I took in for four weeks, didn’t see any real benefit, the amytriptline is better for me as it helps me sleep . It may work for you , I know some people on here take it.

I take mirtazaphine to sleep does not help ringing in the head. Trying oxygen therapy Monday for a month see if that works

Be interested t9 hear about your 9xygen therapy. My friend managers an Oxygen centre here and has seen good results for various people - from footballers to those with fibromyalgia. My tinnitus has now become so debilitating I too am displaying many symptomss of CFS and ME which probably now make my tinnitus worse. I just wish I'd been taken seriously at the beginning and that being told just to carry on ( even when I can't hear through mine! ) is not the best advice for everyone. Tinnitus affects people differently and has various causes - to be told we're making it up and should be stronger and carry on regardless has , I think , been the worst thing for me. We are NOT making it up and we are not weak . X

Your so right on point with

The dr telling us deal with it

Etc ... just makes me think there is no hope or help if the Drs are saying this !

Nortriptyline actually seemed to make my T worse and also made me feel a little hyper. Klonopin helps me not pay attention as much to my T. I just got back from a vacation and needed to take a ferry boat there and back Now I can hardly hear anything, my T is so high. Both times getting off ferry I felt I had a hurricane in both ears and it hasn’t let up for 3 weeks, Has anyone else had a similar experience with boat travel?
