I was told be a specialist and Doctor to get a C T scan to confirm my diagnosis. When I phoned the CT unit , I was told I didn’t warrant a scan! I am in Cornwall UK.
has anyone else had this experience? Also how important do people in the group feel getting a scan is? Thank you.

As far as I know you need to have a CT scan to be properly diagnosed with Bronchiectasis.
CT scan is only way for specialists / radiogrraphers to see the characteristic changes of your lungs, X-rays cannot show that.
This is also mentioned in the BritishThoracic society’s guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of Bronchiectasis, a really useful guide for all of us with bronchs.
