How common is MRSA and Bronchiectasis and, can it be successfully treated?

I don’t know how common it is but my OH had MRSA for some time - can’t remember exactly but it might have been for about two years. It was a long time ago. Anyway, he has asthma/bronchiectasis and now immune deficiency. IIRC they didn’t treat it with antibiotics but he had solution for washing the skin and ointment for his nostrils. He eventually swabbed clear and nothing has shown up since. There might be different protocol now so if you are concerned, see your gp or practice nurse and ask what this is.
