Good Morning,
Brief history
I was diagnosed with AIH in 2004.
Symptoms were jaundice; extremely high bilirubin ; ALT and AST and loss of appetite.
Sent direct to the hospital ward ,where cirrhosis was confirmed. Kept in check for 15 years with medication. Post 2015 ,out of the blue, I had burst varices plus 6-10 bouts of ascites. I was placed on the Transplant list in 2022 with an occluded portal vein. I remained there for 20 months, until they found an anomaly with my heart.
I was subsequently removed from the list, and told a Transplant was too dangerous. I requested a 2nd opinion of which I have just completed an assessment, which went well. Although they want me to have two more tests locally before the MDT can decide. So currently off the list.
As I said earlier, this is my brief history of events.
Now for my current ailment.
I have suffered with intense nausea for the last 10 weeks and counting.
I have been prescribed three drug types to combat this, none have which worked.
The nausea is worse in the morning and leaves me debilitated.
Has anyone suffered from this, pre Transplant? If so what did they use to combat it?
The three meds are metaclopramide; Cyclizine and Odensetron.
My diet hasn't changed as well as my exercise routine.
Thank you for reading.
