Can a Fibroscan be completely wrong ? I have seen a GP pravietly after NHS waiting is nearly a year to see live Dr . My fibroscan 19.4 and cap 350 slightly enlarged spleen . ultrasound shows fatty liver with smooth outline. New GP says the 2 don't match up . So I'm hoping and praying Fibroscan is wrong. I am treating it as cirrhosis either way. I have changed my eating habits completely. And started working out . I do not drink alcohol or smoke

yes fibroscans are frequently wrong when diagnosing f3 and f4, as they cannot tell apart ongoing inflammation of the liver and actual scarring. I was in the same boat with the same contrasting type of results you have, but unfortunately in my case I did in fact end up having cirrhosis as shown biopsy.
