hi. Help much needed and appreciated. I have had elevated ALT, AST, and GGT for decades along with poor health and some little recognized chronic conditions. I would like to know if anyone else with liver disease has or has heard of the following metabolic derangement. I am wondering if they could result from liver failing to produce the needed (transaminase) enzymes for metabolism of certain compounds
I have low taurine levels in blood and in urine its being “ wasted” as can see high levels there. In addition, the cause of the excessive loss in urine is apparent because the betw alanine level is very high. Taurine and beta alinine are structurally similar and compete for reabsorption at renal tubules. A greatly increased anserine (im more likely to eat poutry and fish than red meat) helps clarify the high beta alanine. I know rate limits can gonin both directions so dont know which elevation primary and which the result. I do not have excessive intake of protein or snything else, in fact its less than average and I am very underweight from not fully known causes. Theres no dysbiotic bacteria that might be causing the beta alanine directly.
Can this be liver enzyme problem ? Anyone else have or heard of sny of this? Thanks in advance! I cannot get out of the ditch inam in.
