Your IQR of 8% shows that the scan is a high quality reading and probably considered accurate. IQR (interquartile range) quoted as an absolute number or as a percentage of the median. This number should be less than 1/3 or 30% of the median for a valid, high quality reading

The kPa figure (which I presume is your 19.5 figure but shouldn't have a % next to it) indicates the density of the liver or whether there is any fibrosis present - the degree of fibrosis that this means actually varies dependent on what the underlying condition is. So 19.5 in non alcohol related fatty liver would be in the range of F4 fibrosis a.k.a. cirrhosis but in alcohol related liver disease it would only be around F2 (moderate fibrosis). There are fibroscan score charts on line where you can match up your score with the bar on the chart for any known underlying condition.

Having said that the kPa figure can sometimes be falsely elevated leading to a false high result - especially in circumstances where your liver bloods are indicating ongoing liver inflammation. Fibroscan notoriously can not tell the difference between actual fibrous tissue and tissue which is inflamed SO fibroscan alone is not sufficient to proved an accurate diagnosis and it needs to be looked at in conjunction with other tests you're having.

The CAP score reflects the degree of fatty change in the liver.

CAP Score Steatosis grade Portion of your liver affected by fatty change

238 to 260 dB/m S1 Less than ⅓ (11% to 33%)

260 to 290 dB/m S2 Between ⅓ and ⅔ (34% to 66%)

290 to 400 dB/m S3 More than ⅔ (67%)

You obviously have a pretty high CAP score - in the range of Steatosis Grade 3 so need to see what you can do to address that.

Hopefully you have some follow up appointments soon to progress your diagnosis.
