I suffer with it quite bad in my feet, it used to be my hands and full legs, but just my feet now. Sometimes it’s OK, mostly it’s horrible though and makes me want to hack my feet off at times. I’ve tried everything in terms of diet and pickle juice seemed to work well. My doctor tried prescribing me Amitriptyline which is an anti- depressant and I refused to take them as they are useless anyway. I’m still working out how to solve mine via diet, but sadly I’m told there is no cure and that it will only get worse, I’m coming up 15 months sober too and it hit me the moment I stopped drinking. Highly frustrating. Good luck and take care.

Thanks and you too, I’ve heard Gaba works pretty well, but I’m loathe to take anything that can potentially damage my liver. Mine is obviously caused by alcoholism, but I do wonder if it’s also liver damage related too. If I walk or move around it kind of lessens massively, but then after I stop walking my feet hurt and it feels like I’ve walked on stones all day. It’s the one thing from my drinking/liver damage that bugs me no end because it come from nowhere and unlike most of the other symptoms and issues, seems to only get worse or hasn’t resolved at all despite everything I try,

I haven’t no, my hep doctor doesn’t seem concerned about it, mind that was over 5 months ago where it wasn’t as bad as now. I apparently don’t have cirrhosis, just moderate fibrosis, but I did have alcohol hepatitis back in March 2023 where I was jaundiced and had ascites, I’ll ask about seeing one at my next appointment. I used to get really bad muscle cramps and still get aches and pains, but nowhere near as bad as how it used to be, I make my own ginger and turmeric homemade drinks with other ingredients and I swear they have not only helped heal my liver a lot, but also help with the cramps and aches and pains.

Good luck to you and I had it up both legs where above my knees they would go numb at times and I’d get stabbing like pains, now it’s just my feet and again it’s awful.
