hi I received ultrasound results although not sure what they mean and no follow up arranged. . Can anyone advise?

Cirrhosis - cryptogenic/Azathioprine-induced

Ultrasound shows features in keeping with stable cirrhosis; with a splenomegaly (15cm), but no focal lesions and no ascites. Your most recent reassuring. Your platelet count is stable at 108, with a normal albumin (37) and a normal AFP (<3).

Many thanks

Dear Bucket13

This is a question that your own health care professional is best placed to answer, as only they have access to your medical records.

We suggest talking this through with your own doctor or health care professional in the first instance.

If you would find it useful to talk things over, our nurse-led helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm on 0800 652 7330 (excluding bank holidays)

Best wishes

Hi, it states that you have cirrhosis, cause unknown, possibly caused by immunosuppresants?

Your liver is stable, with a slightly enlarged spleen, however no lesions which is good sign, as they could be a sign of cancer.

No ascites, no fluid build up in your abdomen, so it's compensated cirrhosis, which is the best kind lol. Platelet count should be 150+ so 108 is slightly low but not dangerously so, and this is common with cirrhosis.

Normal albumin and AFP, these are part of your blood test results for liver function test.

Child Pugh A5, this means class A cirrhosis with lowest possible score of 5, early stage. Cirrhosis is graded either class A, B or C, A is the best score.

UKELD 46, this is a score from your blood test, I'm not too sure about that, it's not high enough for you to go on a liver transplant list. I would ask about this on your follow up.

I haven't been advised of my UKELD, but I'm class A, Child Pugh 6.

Anyway hope this helps.
