hi just had liver test and my ggt come back 380 ul what does that mean

So it is high…but you don’t say what your other results were and whether the other tests were elevated as well. It could be high for a number of reasons, not least because you’ve been overdoing it with alcohol in the run up to the test being done. Your doctor will want to follow the test up and maybe do an ultrasound scan.

hi my ggt were 380 u/l levels the rest were normal

Your doctor will want to explore it a bit more I suspect. They’ll do a retest to see if it was a one off. Great that your other bloods were normal. It could be something as simple as a virus…alcohol is the usual culprit but given you don’t drink…it ain’t that!

Mine’s been high and all over the place for years. My doctor nor liver consultants have ever been concerned or mentioned it. All the best.

my husbands went up to 1500 and slowly came down , they have since done tests and he has gall stones and 3 lodged in his bile duct although he’d had no symptoms of this which the doctors were very surprised at . He has had pain recently and is waiting for an op to remove them . Take care

Hi, he didn’t have any symptoms at the time but has a lot of gall bladder flare ups now . He was admitted to hospital in September with jaundice and an infection. He was put on the w/L for emergency op and sent home after treatment . We are still waiting , his pain and discomfort are getting a lot worse unfortunately, take care
