Advice Appreciated

Hi all, it 3 weeks since I came off Spironolactone as my liver specialist asked me to do so as after 6 month checks they believed my results showed I was in a good enough place to do so. I’ve gained 8 pounds in 3 weeks which from what I can see online isn’t classed as rapid but the last few days I’ve began to have a temperature and feel cold and shivering not all day but randomly is this something anybody anybody else has experienced coming off medication I’ve tried to ring my specialist secretary for advice but the phone just rings. I’ve had no problems at all since I left hospital last Oct the only thing I’ve changed is the medication. Sorry for the long post just feeling panicky

Dear AudiKing,

It may be worth giving your GP a phone in the first instance if you cannot get through to your consultant.

Kind Wishes,

The feeling cold and shivering is a symptom of the liver struggling. The way it was explained to me is that the liver is the bodies radiator, and when it can’t perform that function because it’s struggling to keep up with life critical tasks!! It’s Bleedin annoying!! I used to sit indoors, with a coat on and the heating on while all around me were sweltering!!
