Hi, apologies - the BLT deleted my previous posts because I posted lots of blood results (sorry).I just wanted to clarify because I feel like I didn't explain well before - my GP also now thinks something is wrong due to my ongoing significantly high white blood count and inflammation markers.
For the past few months I've been having fortnightly bloods and things like chest x rays to look for infections or cancer.
I went to the BTL roadshow the other day due to a lingering suspicion that my issues are liver related.
I am very (very) anxious, but unfortunately it's clear that something is wrong, and I'm pushing for tests because I do need to start getting to the bottom of it.
I hope that has helped clarify if I didn't explain properly before.
Thanks,
Nerd

There is a very big difference between 1. something is wrong, I need to find WHAT is causing it, and 2. I'm sure I have serious liver disease and even though all my tests and scans don't show it, they must have missed it.
I have a huge amount of sympathy for you. A couple of years ago I knew there was something really wrong with me. I assumed it was cancer and was so scared I didn't seek help. When I hadn't died after a few months, I tried to forget about it. It was nearly a year later when I saw a doctor for something very minor and unrelated and they found my LFTs were in the 900s. It took quite a while for me to believe I had cirrhosis because the mind is a powerful thing and it wasn't the diagnosis I was expecting. If I had zeroed in on what I thought was lung cancer my real problem could have been missed.
You are right to try and get to the bottom of whatever it is that's causing your issues. Something is clearly not quite right. Unfortunately, getting to the cause of such things, especially when you rule out the simple and obvious can be a frustratingly long process.
I think from what you have written before and the tests you've had done, liver disease seems unlikely to be the cause and any impacts on it are likely to be temporary. So that at least should be reassuring.
For now though keep up with your gp and hopefully they'll be able to eventually discover what is causing the issue.
