The liver and high blood pressure

Can anyone help here? My blood pressure is too high but the medicines I've taken for this are not helping at all. One was a beta blocker, the other (more recent) an ACE inhibitor called Rampiril. It seems likely that I'm not metabolising certain drugs as I used to but need to get the blood pressure down. Are there others with this problem? And what do you do, if so? Obviously I can talk to a doctor but it would be useful to be able to suggest remedies - medicines or other - rather than keep trying pills that others have also found haven't helped them.

Thank you!

try talking to your pharmacist first they may be more knowledgeable than your doctor. All the best
