My MRI Scan results came back and says "nodular liver" . Is it really something I should be worried about. What are the chances that this nodule could be cancerous in future?New Fibroscore is 17.1 Kpa based on today's test, it's shame that I didn't know that today's appointment is about Fibroscan otherwise wouldn't had coffee and toast, couple of hour before the test. I know that they might impact Fibroscore but how much my last Fibroscan in September showed 11.6? I know 11.6 is bit lower side as my MRI Scan confirms cirrhosis.on the good side, HBVDNA level is undetectable.

Thanks

I think 'nodular liver' is just a descriptive of your known cirrhotic liver being lumpy and bumpy. There is always an increased risk of a cirrhotic liver developing cancerous tumours which is exactly why all cirrhosis patients undergo 6 monthly screening for HCC so that hopefully changes are picked up quickly and in a timeframe to allow treatment.

Thanks Katie,Ohk, I see what you mean....I wish they had told me earlier (by letter or message) that they are going to do the fibroscan.
