My precious kitty passed away from liver disease at the same time we learned that my husband has decompensated ESLD Cirrhosis... I'm feeling devastated. Any words of hope??? I'm new here. Thank you in advance for any helpful thoughts. 😔

You keep mentioning all this natural stuff. Can I ask if you were ever diagnosed with serious Liver disease? Because experienced hepatologists in the UK strongly do not recommend using these products - I wonder what Doctors you have discussed this with?
Who are you replying to, please, Ewife. Has someone or something been deleted?

Apologies, the message I was replying to has been deleted. It was potentially quite a damaging comment. I didn't realise it had gone, so sorry if anyone thought I was replying insensitively to Beside You.
Thanks Ewife! I read Beside You’s comments and thought something was wrong. I reckon it would help if the “system” highlighted when a comment is deleted …I thought it used to do that?.
I certainly didn’t think you were just replying insensitively!

Overnight the other night the forum got bombarded by a new poster who hit about 10 threads with loads of recommendations for natural 'cures' ... threads were all deleted by admin and member blocked resulting in a few out of place replies from some of us remaining.
To my knowledge the jury is still out on milk thistle and other supplements. You mention liver regeneration and again to the best of my knowledge a damaged liver (scarred I mean) cannot regenerate if it’s reached a certain point. I think you need to be careful about stating what you do as facts rather than opinions as there are some very vulnerable people using this forum who might start using supplements without discussing it with medical professionals.
Hello beside you. It is such devastating news isn't it, when you first here the words esld and cirrhosis!. I can completely empathise, as have been there myself. So much to take in....so much information, it overwhelmed me, but over time you learn to understand the condition more. Your in the USA, so things may be slightly different for your husband. There is hope, there are many like myself on this great blt forum that have managed to improve alot.....so here is hoping that your husband will do so as well...I'm assuming your husband is under a consultant/specialist?. Gastro or hepatologist. Its a long slow road back to becoming compensated, I won't lie....some very difficult days. But things can and do improve....just take one day at a time
I wish your husband well.
Also sorry about your cat, they are such company aren't they, and also never judge us!!!!.
You also need to take time for yourself, most important.
My best . Chris
