De compensated to compensated cirrhosis.
2017 my cirrohsis was de compensated. In June this year it had moved to compensated. I was wondering what is my prognosis is likely to be?

No one (not even a doctor) can estimate a prognosis - a lot will depend on how generally healthy you stay. Having a good, healthy diet, avoiding infections and having all necessary monitoring and dealing with any symptoms as or when they arise.
My hubby remains stable and compensated since his initial decompensated status in April 2012 (he was even on liver transplant list for 10 months in 2014 but improved enough to be delisted in 2015). His consultant has frequently told us how he has patients who have had a cirrhosis diagnosis for 20+ years and who arn't either a deaths door nor needing transplant.
It's a case of living your best life every day going forward as no one can predict what the future will bring.

Ask what your Child Pugh and Meld scores are.
They are the crystal ball of liver disease but everyones outcome is different depending on how they look after their health.
trewargas, congratulations on becoming compensated. 🎉 Even your meld score fluctuates. You could be at 15 one day and 17 the next then 14 a few days later. However I have never heard of huge jumps unless your liver is still being attacked by whatever caused it or other factors… it does give you an idea on how well your liver is doing though.
