Dear Gingerlad73,
If you would find it useful to talk things over, our nurse-led helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm on 0800 652 7330 (excluding bank holidays).
We also facilitate a range of virtual support groups for people living with a liver condition, including those pre & post transplant (and their families and carers). If you would find it helpful to speak to others with shared experience, you can register to join a group here:

Do you have a transplant co-ordinator you can talk to, they are usually very helpful about these types of questions. Whenever we have asked similar they always tell us 'don't focus on the score as it is only part of the picture'. That said, I always obsess about my partners UKELD which at its highest was 60, when listed was 56 and is currently 53. You can be listed at a UKELD of 49 - or in some case lower via the variant list depending on symptoms and their quality of life.
Mine was 55 when I was referred to the transplant team. Don't get to hung up on numbers there are many other things taken into account then UKELD, most patients never know theirsGood luck
Hilary
I never inquired about my UKELD score and wasn't given it as a matter if course. I don't keep track of any results of blood tests etc. Some may be high but not relevant to my PSC. If it's relevant the medical team will keep me up to date. I have friends and family obsessed about numbers - they're no better off than I am except they worry more .
