Cirrios of the liver
Morning gone fishing 🎣........ I'm afraid that you can't get rid of Cirrhosis it's scar tissue. However you can turn the stages of Cirrhosis around. Like decompensated to compensated. You can live a normal healthy life when compensated. If you have a small amount of Cirrhosis do not worry. Katie will know the percentages before it becomes a problem. Hope you are feeling alright (symptoms wise) Do you know what stage you are?Danny x

There are different stages, so we would suggest you speak to your doctors to get more information. If you are in the UK, you can call our nurse led helpline on 0800 652 7330

As above, once you have it you have it unfortunately. Think of it like a tree that survived a forest fire - it can start to grow again but will forever be scared by what it went through.
Read some of my posts to see how you can still have a positive outcome despite the diagnosis.
Agree with the other replies. I have cirrhosis. It was diagnosed in March 21. It’s nearly a year ago now, but I still feel like it’s a new diagnosis! I was very ill in hospital with a deep rooted infection when I was diagnosed. I had no idea I had liver disease. So it came as a shock. The cause of mine was alcohol. So most importantly I knocked that on the head. I changed my diet, exercised more once I was well enough and generally looked after myself. The effect of all that is that I still have cirrhosis....that isn’t going anywhere, but I feel incredibly well. I live a normal life. If you walked passed me in the street you’d have no idea I had liver disease. I sometimes get a bit fatigued but normally when I’ve done too much. The liver is an amazing organ, if you look after it, then it can bounce back.
