Hi good people :)

I am now starting on my 8th week of treatment for hep c and I have just had my bloods taken on Monday . The nurses i work with have received one of my results back which showed that my ALT is back in normal range. Can anyone explain to me what that means in simple terms lol .

Thanks in Advance

Mike

ALT in this context is probably a liver inflammation marker so if it's returned from an elevated state to now normal range it indicates that liver inflammation has decreased (and hopefully now now ongoing inflammation).

Thanks again Kate for your reply :) hopefully things can begin to get better and my Kpa will have reduced after I finished my meds. I’m eating better , and not touched alcohol at all since I found out I had hep c , so hopefully the changes will help
